March 31, 2014 – Newport News, VA – Spectrum was presented the Bronze level certification in the Virginia Values Veterans Program by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.  The company received this certification for pledging to continue veteran hiring and retention initiatives.  In 2013, fifty-seven percent of Spectrum’s new employees hired in Virginia self-identified as veterans, and the company expects to meet or exceed these numbers in 2014.

Spectrum CEO Jeff Wassmer states, “As a proud veteran, I firmly believe drawing from this talented and diverse pool of Virginia’s workforce will strengthen the Commonwealth.”
